German states are popular with a variety of technology products and machinery turns to face the scarcity of human resources (HR) technology sector, especially construction and mining machinery.

“There are many young Germans began to study engineering but they failed. Thing was a discussion of our (construction and mining industry German) about what we can offer to them,” Managing Director of the VDMA German Engineering Association, Joachim Schmid, when meeting with a number of Indonesian journalists in Construction Fair Bauma 2013 in Munich Germany, on Thursday.

Schmid said that despite failing in education, young Germans still have a strong interest in the issue of technology, particularly the automotive industry.

“(But) we have a long history of coal mining., But last coal mining (in German) coming to an end in 2018,” said Schmid.

The younger generation German, further Schmid, considers the mining industry in the country they will soon die because the material German coal was no longer feasible.

“But we say to them (the younger generation German) mining closed only in Germany. Meanwhile, around the world, mining is still growing.”

Schmid added the younger generation was more interested in the German automotive industry as the country has several well-known car manufacturer.

“The machines excavators considered dirty but it also has a high-tech workforce and more accommodating,” says Schmid.
